dc burlesque

...and we keep on dancing,
burlesque this time,

bird of paradise dance,

sensuality,
here expressed very openly,
also part of being woman,

this made me think of the oriental equivalent,  bellydancing,
and more about tribal fusion bellydancing,
and a beautiful Belgian dancer, Amirah,

we can express everything just using our body language,
just dancing,
how wonderful is that?!

thanks to sweet Tanïa we dance into the month of may,
please take a look at her place and enjoy the show,

happy weekend
X

  1. Dear Renilde,
uuuh, love your painting! This circle, spot of light... the woman inside a cloud of soft pink. She's got all... and more. A sort of extra...! and the watching people knows it.... breathless.

Amirah is a revelation! makes me wanna try it...

    Love

  3. I agree with Stefanie!
    Very good job.
the element "wolf" (or dog, no matter, the animal) is a detail that adds value in terms of mystery to your painting. I love seeing this kind of thing!
    Excellent as always, my friend!

  6. what an attraction, in more than one way.
thoughtful to add a public. i think it is what it is all about, burlesque: impress the spectator... you're only too right to put her in a bubble.

I wondered what you would do as your palette is usually so light and airy.....but I have to say your colour scheme in this one is fabulous.

Look at her outfit, her fan, her dance expression...amazing! Applause, standing ovations for this, my dear! Thank you so much!

  13. It's very interesting to see, how everyone developed their own style and way of interpretation of every theme, if someone would show me that painting, I could tell that it was you who made it!

P.S. May I invite you to the next dc, where I am the hostess this time? I would be very happy!
