The poetry of bills

He enters, he smiles
He is rather quiet..
He drinks a few beers.

He says goodnight and leaves.
His bill , transformed, left on the bar.
You can't throw away paper poetry, can you ?
I wonder what he will fold next time.

  3. There is poetry everywhere, it seems, for those with eyes to see and the heart to share it with others.

  7. this reminds me of being in a costa rican market place years ago. I was approached by a kindly man who handed me an ornately wrapped colon( paper money), he smiled shyly then swiftly walked away. the woman at the register said she had watched him standing there and fold it. i still have it.
these beautifully folded bills have taken me back to costa rica!
